SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Silver Air Private Jets has promoted Cody Macaluso to Director of Private Aviation Sales, expanding his responsibilities beyond individual production to include recruiting, training, mentorship and development of the company’s Private Jet Advisor team.

Macaluso has emerged as one of Silver Air’s top-producing Private Jet Advisors, bringing a distinctive combination of aviation knowledge, sales experience and entrepreneurial thinking to the role.

His path into private aviation sales began from the cockpit. Macaluso trained in aviation and worked as a flight instructor before moving into sales, ultimately combining his flying background with his business education and interest in helping clients make more informed aviation decisions. Prior to joining Silver Air in October 2024, he held sales and private aviation roles with Tuvoli and Magellan Jets.

That combination has shaped Macaluso’s approach at Silver Air. Rather than viewing private charter simply as a transaction, he works with business owners, families and aircraft owners to evaluate charter, fleet access and aircraft management through the broader lens of time, access, capital and operational efficiency.

“Cody has a natural ability to connect the technical side of aviation with the commercial side of the business,” said Jessica Rust, President of Flight Club by Silver Air. “He is curious, competitive and always looking for a better way to approach the client or the opportunity. What has stood out just as much as his production is his willingness to help others get better. This next role gives him the opportunity to take what has made him successful individually and use it to strengthen the team around him.”

As Director of Private Aviation Sales, Macaluso will maintain responsibility for his existing client portfolio and continued production while taking on a larger role in building Silver Air’s sales organization. His responsibilities will include screening prospective Private Jet Advisors, participating in hiring recommendations, coordinating onboarding, serving as a primary trainer and mentor, and coaching new advisors through their 30-, 60- and 90-day development periods.

Macaluso earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in entrepreneurial studies and management from the University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics. His aviation training includes ATP Flight School, and he holds an FAA Instrument Rating.

The promotion reflects Silver Air’s commitment to developing high-performing talent into leaders who can help scale the company’s commercial organization without losing the individualized service and trusted-advisor approach at the center of its client experience.
