Silver Air Private Jets Names Craig Murray Chief Pilot

Appointment reflects Silver Air’s commitment to developing leadership from within and elevating its pilot group

SANTA BARBARA, CA — August 13, 2026 — Silver Air Private Jets today announced the appointment of Craig Murray to Chief Pilot, effective immediately. Murray steps into the role after serving as a Citation CJ3 ARM Lead Captain at Silver Air since 2024, bringing more than 4,600 total flight hours and extensive Part 135 pilot-in-command experience to the position.

Before joining Silver Air, Murray served as Assistant Chief Pilot and Acting Chief Pilot at Boutique Air, where his leadership responsibilities extended to a crew force of approximately 167 pilots across a fleet of 27 aircraft.

With more than two and a half years inside Silver Air’s own operation, Murray already knows the company’s crews, aircraft owners, and culture from the inside. As Chief Pilot, he will lead the day-to-day safety and standardization of Silver Air’s pilot group, working closely with Flight Operations and the company’s Aviation Safety Group.

Murray’s leadership style is hands-on: staying close to the flight line, prioritizing standardization, and building accountability into every level of the operation.

Murray holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with type ratings including the Citation CJ2+ and began his aviation career after training at Pan Am International Flight Academy.
