Silver Air Appoints John Ishaq as Vice President of Technical Operations and Director of Maintenance

Santa Barbara, California — Silver Air Private Jets is pleased to announce the appointment of John Ishaq as Vice President of Technical Operations and Director of Maintenance.

John brings more than two decades of aviation maintenance leadership, spanning complex fleet oversight, technical operations management, and high-touch client service. Most recently, he served as 135 Director of Maintenance at Clay Lacy Aviation, where he led technical operations for six years and played a pivotal role in advancing organizational reliability and safety standards.

Prior to that, John spent seven years as Assistant Director of Maintenance at Avjet Corporation, where he directed inspections, short-notice repairs nationwide, and supervised diverse mechanical teams across a wide spectrum of aircraft platforms. He began his career with Clay Lacy Aviation as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, quickly earning recognition for his technical expertise and leadership potential. John’s career is also highlighted by his active service as a Gulfstream Customer Advisory Board (CAB) Member, reflecting his industry expertise and commitment to innovation.

John holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification and has completed advanced maintenance training on Gulfstream and Falcon aircraft at FlightSafety International. He is proficient across a wide range of aircraft including Gulfstream, Learjet, and Hawker models, underscoring his versatility and technical depth.
